It’s apple picking time here in the Midwest. I love to go out with my family to the local orchards, get on a wagon, and pick some apples! Believe it or not, apples aren’t just for eating. There are actually quite a few beauty remedies that apples can be used for. Since they’re in season, I’d thought it would be fun to share a few ideas with you.
Apples are a natural beauty product. They can work wonders on your complexion by treating acne. One easy mask to make is an apple and honey mask. You can make this by grating half an apple and mixing it with four teaspoons of honey. Then, apply it to affected acne skin, leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, and rinse off with warm water. This should leave a natural glow and radiance to your skin! It can also be used to prevent pimples and other imperfections!
Apples can also be used as a natural facial cleanser. The natural acid helps to remove excess oil from the skin and leave an instant shine and glow to the face. An apple, milk, and honey cleanser can be made by measuring one tablespoon of fresh apple juice, two tablespoons of milk, and one teaspoon of honey. Mix these ingredients together thoroughly and apply to your face and neck. Massage for two minutes and then rinse off with warm water.
